2012!!! A NEW Year!!!

Brown League baseball 2012 would like to welcome a new member Chris Brodeur. He will be co-managing team "Brodown" with Peter Brown. Peter has struggled in recent seasons and has brought in some new management in hopes of turning his franchise around and finish in the top 6 (something Brown hasn't done since the 2008 season). Here is a closer look at team Browdown ...

Brodown:
(Noun) A gathering of like-minded, heterosexual male youths between the ages of 15-22 in a social setting. Brodowns usually involve the talk of females, sports, music, and, in rare occasions, meat sandwiches of some sort.

"Dude, that was a total brodown at Sam's last saturday."

Team Brodown finishes in recent years:

2011 - 11th place

2010 - 11th place (tie)
2009 - 7th place

Team Brodown projected keepers:

C - C. Santana (nice young bat at catcher)

1B - P. Konerko (quality numbers but does the old man have anything left in the tank?)

3B - J Bautista (Best pure power hitter in the game)

OF - B. Harper (looking to trade this young phenom?)

OF - Ichiro (was 2011 just a down year or has his age caught up to him?)

OF - J. Werth (tough 2011. Hasn't lived up to the contract)

SP - M. Latos (plenty of talent. will he stay healthy? Cincy a good fit?)

SP - CJ Wilson (Can this straight edge keep it up?)

SP - J. Zimmerman (Good WHIP. Stay healthy?)

RP - J. Papelbon (Best closer in the game?)
